# StartupKit

StartupKit gives coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, OpenCode, Hermes, Codex, any MCP client) the non-code half of starting a company. Product areas: **Stack** (a production-ready SaaS kit), **Research** (market, keyword, trend, domain, and app-store intelligence), **Launch** (domain registration, submissions, checklist), and **Ads** (coming soon). Agents call the tools natively over MCP or the CLI, on one account and one API key.

## Install (MCP)

Add one config block. Requires an API key from https://startupkit.com/dashboard (free tier, no card).

## MCP tools

- startupkit_seo: Domain SEO intelligence. `action: "overview"` (default) returns authority, backlinks, traffic, top keywords/pages for one domain — or pass an array of 2-5 domains for a side-by-side scorecard. `action: "history"` gives monthly traffic trends; `"competitors"` organic rivals with keyword overlap; `"keywords"` the full ranked-keyword list; `"pages"` top pages; `"backlinks"` a drill-down with `view: rows|domains|anchors|pages|outlinks|history`, filters/sort, and `competitor` for a link gap. 5 credits (overview/detail), 3 credits (backlinks).

Free — enablement, not AI-visibility monitoring.
- startupkit_serp: Get live Google Search Engine Results Page (SERP) data for any keyword — rankings, URLs, titles, descriptions
- startupkit_keywords: Keyword research: seed a keyword for suggestions, or pass a `target` domain/URL to see the keywords it ranks for. `action: "overlap"` (with `target1`+`target2`) returns keywords two domains both rank for. `country`/`language` pick the market. Optional `include` depth sections add matching/related terms, Keyword Difficulty, search intent, 12-month history, per-country volume (`volume_by_country`), SERP features (`serp_features`) and broader `ideas` — base 3 credits, +1 per section that returns data.
- startupkit_trends: Search Google Trends data for keywords and topics
- startupkit_domains: Domain availability across TLDs. Check a single `name`, or pass `names` to check several in one call; each entry is a bare name checked across `extensions`, or a full domain like "healthtech.com". Requires a configured domain provider (Cloudflare Registrar deployment token, or Porkbun/Namecheap per-user credentials).
- startupkit_apps_search: Search for mobile apps by name across iOS App Store and Google Play. Returns app metadata including name, developer, ratings, downloads estimate, price, and category.
- startupkit_apps_details: Get comprehensive app intelligence including ratings, download estimates, revenue estimates, keywords, reviews, and SDK/tech stack data. Use this for deep competitive analysis of a specific app.
- startupkit_apps_keywords: Get keyword rankings for a specific app. Shows which app store keywords the app ranks for, with search volume, difficulty, and ranking position.
- startupkit_checklist: Curated startup submission checklist — places to launch and get press coverage (launch platforms, directories, review sites, press outlets), phase-ordered for launch week. Each target has name, domain, URL, submit URL/method, category, cost, effort, DR, and Twitter/followers — plus fit score, recommendation, reason, and phase when a project is resolved. No award/badge or region/eligibility fields. `project` picks which project (id or name; default: active). Requires a Pro plan.
- startupkit_checklist_progress: Track launch checklist progress per project: save targets, mark them done or skipped, and list what's saved, done, or still left. Domain values come from the `checklist` tool; `project` picks which project's state (default: active). Requires a Pro plan.
- startupkit_checklist_gaps: What's left on the launch checklist for a project: targets not marked done or skipped, prioritized (by fit score when a project exists, otherwise phase and Domain Rating). Use after `checklist_progress`. Returns each remaining target's full checklist fields plus summary counts (remaining/done/skipped/saved); filterable by category and minDr — filter on cost/effort from the returned fields. For each target's submission copy and state, use `submissions`; `project` picks which project (id or name; default: active). Requires a Pro plan.
- startupkit_project: Manage your launch projects: list, get (default), create, update, activate, or delete. A project stores the product's name, URL, tagline, description, category, audience, and pricing — checklist ranking and submission copy are built from the active project. Free.
- startupkit_submissions: Remaining directory submission targets for a project — each with its current state (saved/done/skipped) plus the checklist fields (category, cost, effort, DR, submit URL/method). List all remaining targets or get one target's paste-ready copy + instructions; `project` picks which project (id or name; default: active). Requires a Pro plan.
- startupkit_credits: Check your credit balance and usage history
- startupkit_whoami: Which account this API key belongs to — user id, email, plan, credit balance, and member-since date. Free.

`npx startupkit init "My SaaS"` scaffolds: Next.js 16 on Cloudflare Workers (OpenNext), passwordless auth on Cloudflare D1 (better-auth), Stripe billing, transactional email (React Email), a `/brandkit` listing page with brand assets and a 15-directory submission tracker, CI, and an agent handoff prompt that deploys with verification at every step.
